Frampton Comes Alive recreated is a show paying tribute to one of the all-time best live albums of the 1970s and of all time by super star singer and guitarist Peter Frampton . Gary Backstrom , front man of Jiggle the Handle , and core members of his solo band ,Chris Nemitz , Everett Pendleton and Peter Koeplin are going to recreate the the iconic live Frampton album in its entirety. The Band aims to bring all the fire and melodic intensity of the original performance to you. Wether you were there in 1976 or want to experience this album performed by some of New England’s top performers for the first time. You won’t want to miss this show!!
About Gary Backstrom and Band…
GARY BACKSTROM, the front man and founder of New England based jam band JIGGLE THE HANDLE, has played regionally as well as toured the country many times over the past 30 years. Gary has played at High Sierra Fest and headlined Berkshire Mountain Music Fest, Strange Creek and Wormtown Music Fest. He has shared the stage with local favorites such as Max Creek, Assembly of Dust, Strange Folk, and Ryan Montbleau as well as opening for THE ALLMAN BROS, DEREK TRUCKS, LOS LOBOS, SPIN DOCTORS, THE SAMPLES, LITTLE FEAT, RAT DOG and WIDESPREAD PANIC. Backstrom has played with Liberty Devito, the drummer for Billy Joel’s Band, while touring with the symphonic rock group PIANO MEN playing rock concerts with various 60 piece orchestras around the country.
Gary has put together a stellar 4-piece line-up of amazing musicians to form THE GARY BACKSTROM BAND. The lineup, including Gary on voice and guitars has Chris Nemitz on keys, guitars and voice, Everett Pendleton on bass and voice, and Peter Koeplin on drums.
